If you install your Stilo Modular staircase away from the wall, you may choose to fit External Railing Kit on the open side of the staircase. This kit comprises 6 powder coated baluster spindles, handrail and fixings. The overall width of the staircase will increase by 4.25cm when the external railing is fitted.  Available in three colour choices to match your staircase – Black, White or Grey and with matching handrail.  The following diagram, which features both the Stilo and the Vector Modular Staircases, will help you to count the number of balusters required on any open side of the Stilo70 and Stilo83 staircase and you can then order the right number of External Railing kits.

If your installation of the Venus Spacesaver Staircase is set away from a wall, you should consider adding a Second Side Railing kit on the open side of the staircase.  The Second Side Railing Kit comprises 7 baluster spindles, PVC handrail in Grey, and the fixings required. Railings for one side are included in the standard Venus staircase kit so click here  for the layouts diagram so that you can work out exactly what you need for your project.

Installing the second side balustrading will increase the overall staircase width from 596mm to 630mm.
