Venus 2 Space Saver Staircase Description
The Venus Space Saver Staircase with alternate (or paddle-shaped) treads. Using treads in this format, reduces the overall space taken by the staircase by almost 50 % compared with a standard staircase! The Venus spacesaver stair can be installed in a straight flight or, with the addition of one or two quarter turn treads, it can also be installed in a U or L shape. You’ll find diagrams to show how to use the various formats (straight, L or U) in the Technical Tab. The Venus has a rigid smooth-grip PVC handrail in grey. The fixing design details are in dark Grey for the White and Grey steel colour options and Black for the Black staircase.
The Standard Kit comprises 11 treads/12 risers but there are additional kits with 12 treads/13 risers and 13 treads/14 risers. The treads are 40mm thick solid beech and matching balustrading for the stairwell is available in our Accessories pages. The Venus spacesaver stair is made to order and delivered to you in component form ready for straightforward installation. Perfect for DIYers, trade or selfbuilders.

*The Standard Kit of 11 treads/12 risers suits floor to floor heights of up to 2640mm to suit UK Building Regulations tread rise. For higher floor to floor heights, choose the correct number of treads. A full range of matching accessories are available e.g., second side balustrading (if the staircase is open on both sides) and matching stairwell balustrade.

Please note that this staircase is manufactured to meet most European building regulations and some of the configurations available may not be acceptable to UK Building Regulations Officers e.g. the tread rise is designed to range from 190mm to 235mm which is outside UK Building Regulations. It is your responsibility to ensure that any Local Authority approvals necessary have been obtained. This will vary according to your application and we advise you to always check before going ahead with a purchase.
The delivery takes approx 4-5 weeks (and delivery to UK mainland is included).
